About me

Morgan Stewart, postpartum doula in Richmond, Virginia

I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving Richmond, Virginia, offering personalized support through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of postpartum. I work with families who want calm, informed, and evidence-based care as they navigate this major life transition.

I came to this work through my own experience with a high-risk twin pregnancy, birth, and a subsequent NICU stay. That experience shaped how I show up for families; with steadiness, respect, and an understanding that birth and postpartum don’t always go as planned.

In my work, I offer a balance of emotional support, education, and practical, hands-on care. This can look like feeding support, help with rest and recovery, newborn care, and space to ask questions or process your experience as it unfolds. I don’t believe in one “right” way to give birth or recover postpartum. Instead, I support you in making informed choices that align with your values, your body, and your circumstances.

I work best with families who are looking for grounded, non-judgmental support and who value thoughtful, evidence-based care. Many of the families I support want to feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and not alone in the day-to-day of life with a new baby.

I am a trained birth and postpartum doula and continue to deepen my work through ongoing education in postpartum physical recovery, lactation and feeding support, and holistic care practices.

If you’re looking for a birth or postpartum doula in Richmond, Virginia, I’d love to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
